150 years since the birth of known Russian and the Soviet scientist Vladimir Ivanovich Vernadsky, the author of the doctrine about the biosphere and a noosphere were turned on March 12.

The area of scientific interests of Vladimir Ivanovich is so wide that it is difficult to describe it. It founded science biogeochemistry. Works on search of radioactive fields in the territory of the country were organised by his initiative. Vernadsky considered as the most important condition of development of the state the organisation of permanent research stations. It proved need of the organisation of uniform national department of geodesy and the cartography, today not having independent status and rash reforming having hard times.
